About GPA

Over 14 years ago, an American linguist introduced the Growing Participation Approach (GPA) to Vietnam through Gateway Education Global. Since then, more than 300 learners have experienced this transformative method at the ELLi Center in Hanoi.

Unlike traditional language schools, GPA isn’t about grammar drills or memorizing vocabulary. It’s about building deep, meaningful relationships through language the way real people learn to live and communicate.

We believe language is more than a skill it’s a gateway to people, culture, and connection. Through trained nurturers and a relational environment, GPA helps you grow in fluency while participating in daily life and gaining cultural insight.

You start by listening a lot. Not to memorize, but to absorb. You’ll hear natural Vietnamese, understand meaning in context, and begin speaking organically.

With the help of a trained language nurturer, you engage in guided sessions tailored to your level. No pressure to get it perfect just space to try, practice, and improve.
